Loving Others Through It (LOTI) is a charity organization created by a group of gals who know that we all can help make a difference in the life of those who need it, just by doing small things.
We are a charity organization who will be focusing on one cause for the year. With our charity, you may nominate yourself, or another, who could use some extra community support. Together we can LOVE OTHERS THROUGH IT. A person or family will be chosen from nomination forms and will announced on Valentine’s day 2010. Due date for all nominations is Jan. 1, 2010. Nomination forms will be available by request online as an emailed PDF or through snail mail. Any and all cases with a valid cause may apply at any time and the charity board will select the recipient for the upcoming year.
For our First Annual LOTI Event, all proceeds will be given to a local family to help pay for their past medical bills and future adoption of their first child. All money raised between now and December 31, 2009 will be given to this family to support their needs.
You may ask yourself, why bother becoming involved? And I say, Why not? Why not do all you can to help mankind, and in our current case, help unite this family with the child they so desperately have hoped and longed for?
The events for our first annual LOTI event will include a silent auction of donated items from our communities. We will also have a yard sale of donated items and also a bake sale. All proceeds from this event will go towards our chosen family. Shirts and goodie bags may be purchased at the event. The names of all of those who donate items to the silent auction (1 week or before event date) will be printed on the shirts, unless you prefer to remain anonymous.
Donation jars will be placed throughout our communities.
Do not let time and kindness pass you by. After all, we never know when we may need to be on the receiving end of such kindness.
